I’m told that each person goes through the side effect experience differently, because each person’s body is unique. I’ve also been told that I’m having a pretty exceptional experience. I was diagnosed Stage 1, which wasn’t expected. Other than the big lump on my neck, I really had no other symptoms. I’ve tolerated chemotherapy extremely well with very minor side effects. Neulasta shots really don’t seem to phase me.
In fact, my bizarre hair loss pattern of only the black hairs and only on my face has now reversed itself somewhat. My beard stubble, while still thin, is thicker and has a lot of black in it. While hair loss is reversing itself, I’ve developed mouth sores, which I was told that I’d have right from the beginning, and am only now seeing the first ones, more than 10 days after my 3rd chemo treatment. They’re not major, but I’m definitely getting them. Seems odd that one side effect would develop while another goes away.
