Now that chemo is over, I’ve started lifting heavy weights again. That low-weight high-rep stuff was getting boring, and of course, I wasn’t building any muscle. So today was the first day back, and damn it felt good! Also cut back on the cardio some, seems I’ve been overtraining.
I need to feel good at the gym this week, got a lot going on and need the stress relief. Last couple weeks have been a break from cancer, since chemo is over and radiation not started yet, but the rest of my life decided to pick up where cancer left off. But that’s not really what this blog is about…
Friday, I have my first post-chemo PET scan, and then immediately after that I go for radiation mapping, and then right after that I go pick up my daughter at school. Notably, this is the first day off I’ve taken specifically to deal with doctor’s appointments and such.
